Sedimentary Rock

                                                           [ clastic sedimentary rock]

The sedimentary rock originated from the word 'sediment' which is collective name for loose solid particles of minerals in an igneous rocks.
It is also called Secondary Rock.
They are rock that are formed due to weathering and erosion of a pre-existing igneous rock that get welder-ed and transported by agents of erosion [i.e wind, water e.t.c].
                                  classification of sedimentary Rock
1.mechanical sedimentary rock
2.chemical sedimentary rock
3.organic  sedimentary rock

1.mechanical sedimentary rock: These are also all sedimentary rock that are formed from pre-existing rock by Operation of four processes.
that is :
a.Decay and disintegration
b.Transportation of sediment
c.Gradual deposition
d.Diogenes-sis

Further classification of mechanical sedimentary igneous rock is based on the average grain size of the Rock.

Grain Size of mechanical materials
a.Boubler
b.cobbies
c.pebbles
d.gravel
e.sand
f.silt
g.clay.
